Hey yall,
We had such a massively successful Ready Set Plant event – thank you all SO MUCH!! Together we planted over 1300 trees in the trails behind Speyside! (I have a list of tree species that were planted for anyone interested – email info at the end)
I tried to take some photos of all the new seedlings – it is tough because there are just SO MANY, it’s hard to capture the true scope of it! The flags (each one is a tree) just keep going, and going, and going…….
I am so grateful to each and every person who showed up. Together we are truly making a difference. I personally cannot wait to see how this area looks in 5, 10, 20 years. It will be amazing!! THANK YOU!!!!!!
And extra thank you to TreeFolks, who sponsored the trees and brought all their volunteers – they were absolutely phenomenal and much of the reason the event was able to happen at all! And finally, thanks to Anthony with the neighborhood HOA, whose video and link prompted me to make this update because I had been busy/procrastinating 🙂
And please do sign up on the Volunteer form, I send out mailers once I have dates for all future events. I am also keen to really flesh out FOHB as a proper group, so feel free to email friendsofharrisbranch at gmail.com with any questions or if you want to like…. you know….. JOIN and help me organize the things 🙂
